Can a male racing pigeon with a weak pectoral muscle produce, offspring that have a good muscle?

pigeon racing
Luke asked:

While doing some research I found that racing pigeons that stick their tail up when being handled, have a weak pectoral muscle so they are not good racers. One of my male pigeons does stick his tail up and I wish to know whether if his young would be good for racing.Another thing I wish to know is what pigeon size is the best for racing as I have some that are small and others are very big. Thanks

yes Absolutely. The weak muscle will not be inherited :)
it is only genetic traits that are, so if he is from a family of pigeons who have neck difficulties for example, but injuries he has through his life will not be passed on..
    hope that helped :)

Racers of all shapes and sizes can win or lose. The best thing to do is breed the breeders and race the racers. Then you can judge if they’re worthy or not, based on their race results. If there was an easy way out, such as by looks, then everyone would be winning.
How built up the pectorals are, depends on how well you exercise them. I fly mine twice a day, and train on weekends or during the week if I have time.
